Salted Green Berries wow Great Taste judges
Our Salted Green Pepper Berries won a big gold star at The Great Taste Awards 2020, where they were described as “sparkling and full of flavour.”
Here’s what the judges had to say:
“Consistently sized little berries. The aroma isn't particularly inviting, a bit briny. The taste however is remarkable. Bright with fresh heat, really spicy and peppery. Good texture, firm but not gritty.”
“These would bring a real lift to whatever you added them to - we are now craving a steak au poivre made with these! Great peppery heat that grows to a most satisfying level. Sparkling and full of flavour. These tiny olive green balls are pretty. The aroma is saline. The flavour is full of rounded warming spice and gently heats the back of the throat. There is a delightful vibrancy of flavour here and the long finish is punchy but luxurious.
How to use the pepper berries
Pepper berries can be used in numerous ways to perk up dishes: add them to marinades for meat or fish; throw some in to your eggs dishes; fried rice and salads… the options really are endless!
We also love to eat them as a snack with a glass of wine!
