A Vegan Valentine’s Menu

Whether you’ve been vegan for a long time, you’re trying to reduce your meat intake or you’re simply trying something new for the first time - we’ve chosen a selection of our favourite vegan recipes to curate an exquisite valentine’s day menu that you’ll love. And to help you take your dishes to the next level, we’ve included seasoning tips for each recipe using our gourmet spices.

As keen foodies, we’ve discovered that the secret is (always) in the seasoning. The spices you use in your cooking has the power to transform your dishes - so far that if you eat vegan, you can use spices as a substitute for your meat.

A Valentine’s Day Menu for two

Main: Jackfruit Massaman Curry

Jackfruit is a magic ingredient for vegans, with properties so similar to pulled pork, it is the perfect meat substitute! This Massaman curry combines pulled pork, peanuts, potatoes with coconut milk and Massaman curry paste - but as always, the secrets in the seasoning:

Add Wild Mountain Cumin Seeds - deliciously savoury, aromatic and bright, and has a sensational umami flavour which is reminiscent of grilled meats and sweet caramelized onions.

Add Coriander Seeds - incorporating fruity aromas of orange peel and dried apricot.

Add Palmyra Sugar to make this recipe pop, adding a perfectly balanced sweetness to complement the spiciness of the red chilli.

For starters: Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms

What better way to start your meal than with succulent portobello mushrooms?

We recommend seasoning with our Smoked Pimenton Paprika.

It has a rich and smoky taste sensation, which creates a vibrant hum of heat and spice. Paprika is one of the most versatile spices on the rack and the smoky heat is so divine, you wont even miss the meat!

Dessert: Vegan Tiramisu

And if you really want to impress your loved one, try this exquisite dessert! Vegan Tiramisu - the perfect ending to a delicious meal.

Add Morogoro Cacao to ignite the tiramisu with both sweet and savoury flavours. Our cacao beans have been fermented and sun-dried, instead of roasted, which creates a deeper, fruitier flavour.

Add Vanilla Bean Powder to make this dish extra special.

And if you’re feeling extra fancy, breakfast in bed

How about making vegan pancakes?

Using plant-based milk (e.g. oat, almond, soya) works perfectly and vegetable oil is a great substitute for eggs to make them stick together! You can add all the toppings you like on top, but we do advise adding 1 tsp of Royal Cinnamon into the mixture! Our cinnamon has a heavenly profile of honey and citrus will make you feel warm and cosy all over!
